Massage Therapeutics; Hips, Low Back, & Psoas

October 19-20, 2024

Marquette, Michigan

14 CEU’s

Our back and hips can take on a lot of strain as they support and carry us through this life. Additionally, weaving through this core region is the psoas muscle group, which connects upper and lower body movement and anchors physical and mental control. There are many misunderstood pains and restrictions that either stem from or end up in this area. Liberating congestion in the psoas, low back and/or hips is a great way to assist clients in reclaiming their bodies. The hip area is a beautifully complex network of ligaments, tendons and muscles. Thus, therapeutic bodywork in this area can be specific and precise. We’ll spend two days exploring the intricacies.

This class is intended for massage therapists (table or Thai) who would like to offer deep, permanent healing for chronic ailments. The techniques are based on Thai bodywork theory, but these techniques can easily be applied to the table. Most work will be done on floor mats, but we will have a massage table available for any therapists who would prefer to work on a table. All mats and tables will have Christopher’s trademarked Strap Support System available for those interested in practicing with straps.
